Abstract:
In this era of big data, transformation of big data into valuable knowledge has been one of the most important problems in healthcare. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence and deep learning has advanced rapidly since the early 2000s, and now demonstrates state-of-the-art performance in various fields. Accordingly, the application of AI and deep learning in healthcare to gain insight from data is emphasized both in academia and industry. This talk will review AI and deep learning in healthcare and presents examples of current research. Additionally, there will be discussion on theoretical and practical issues of AI and deep learning in healthcare and suggestions for future research directions.
