Multiple Major

What is a Second Major?

From spring 2004 onward, it is obligatory for freshmen to declare a second major. In addition to their first major, they are required to choose their intensive major, double major, interdisciplinary major or student-designed major.

Intensive Major (Intensive courses for the first major)

Aside from the basic requirements (36-42 credits) for their first major, students who elect to have an intensive major must earn additional 24-36 credits from major courses recommended in the curriculum of a department or division in which the students are enrolled. The intensive major program does not require further application procedures.
